Series of nine paintings, 2024

This 2024 series investigates the tension between the visible painted surface and invisible essence that animates all life. Working with intuitive processes and considered micro-decisions, I built layered paintings where forms surface and dissolve, creating interfaces between the seen and unseen. The works point toward what can only be apprehended through receptive consciousness rather than direct observation.

These nine paintings from 2023 engage with alchemical processes as a method for exploring transformation between material, psychic, and spiritual dimensions. The works move through cycles of dissolution and integration, from unconscious emergence to conscious shaping, reflecting the interplay between lunar receptivity and solar consciousness. This series reconfigures traditional alchemical understanding through a contemporary feminist lens, developing new approaches to transformation beyond classical models.
