Emergence
Painting begins with emergence: salt, blood, placenta, sea. An encounter not guaranteed, though desired. If I project what’s hidden into matter, I stay with what manifests. Sometimes I brush fragments away. I miss their touch. They return. With Luna’s aid I feel them, recognise without knowing. In stillness I listen. I sit with my work as with a stranger. It slips along a border, filament, rounded shape. It grows.
